With half of the Thamesford NBC season completed, The Hawks have established a firm hold on a possible 3rd Season Championship. I don't think anyone can argue that a huge reason for the teams success this season, and the last three seasons, is their goalie, Jason Pete.

Pete continues to break away from the other league goalies in all categories. His current Goals Against Average is an impressive 1.70. And a Save Percentage of .928 pretty much means this guy is really tough to score on ! Not too shabby for Sunday morning hockey !

Jason finished last season with a Goals Against Average of 2.05, and if his play continues on track this season, he'll crush that record, and come close to beating his 2013 GAA of 1.68 ! Keep up the great job Jason and good luck !

Rocky Flats Superstar talks about glorious return !

There's been talk around the rumor table that the infamous, self proclaimed greatest defenceman to play the game, Ron Arts may return to the ice this season !

Arts left the league last year, after a long, somewhat unsuccessful career, due to what he called " Self Superstar Healing ". His absence on the blueline this year hasn't been missed according to Rocky Flats goaltender Rob Winter.

Arts made his Thamesford NBC debut in 1990 with what was then the Philbrook Sports hockey Team. His on ice behaviour, and lack of respect towards the officials has become legendary throughout the league, and Arts took it all in stride, believing he was the official face of Canadian hockey. If Ron is to return, and the rumors are indeed true, Sunday mornings might not be the same !
